The Next Best Job in the World

1.       The promoter is Drifter. 

2.       Employees of Drifter or associated brands or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition. 

3.       There is no entry fee to enter this competition. 

4.       A person is granted one entry per valid application  

6.       Entrants warrant that their entry in the Competition does not breach the intellectual property rights of any third party nor breach the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (CCA). The entrant indemnifies and will keep the Promoter and its associated agencies indemnified against any loss, costs (including legal costs), expenses or liability the Promoter and its associated agencies may suffer arising out of any breach by the entrant of this clause. 

7.   To have a valid entry, all entrants MUST: 

  • Be eligible to obtain valid working rights in Australia for the duration of their employment, such as a Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417). 
  • Be available to travel to Australia and New Zealand between November 2025 to March 2026 

8.   The closing date for all entries will be October 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM AEST. After this date and time, no further entries will be accepted. 

9.    The winner will be selected based on skill and suitability for the position 

10. The opportunity includes: 

  • Return flights to the job location for one person (value subject to flight availability) to the value of $4,000 
  • Accommodation for the duration of the 3-month job placement to the value of $15,000 
  • An allowance for living expenses during the job (value subject to allocation) $6,000 spending money 
  • The contract will start in November/December 2025 and will run for three months from date of arrival. 

Total value $25,000 

11.    The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without prior notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter. 

12.    No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable, prizes including accommodation are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. 

13.    Winners will be chosen by Drifter marketing staff in accordance with the premise of the competition. 

14.    The winner will be announced on October 22nd, 2025 

15.    The winner will be contacted by Drifter via email or the Drifter Official Instagram Page via Direct Message for details. 

16.    If the valid winners cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 5 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. 

17.    The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

18.   The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. 

19.  Winners should allow 30 days from the prize selection for redemption. 

20.   All entrants agree to the use of his/her name and entry in any publicity material  

21.   This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. You are providing your information to The Drifter and The Leisure Accommodation Collective Pty Ltd 

22.   This competition is open to entrants who are visiting or residing in Australia and meet the eligibility requirements for a Working Visa within Australia and New Zealand.

23.    By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

24.    By entering, contestants agree that any content or materials submitted or captured during the application or stay may be used by Drifter for marketing and promotional purposes, in any format and without compensation. 

25.    Drifter may extend the competition period at its discretion. 

26.    By entering, you agree that Drifter may contact you for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time. 

Employment Terms and Conditions  

  1. The winner will be engaged as a fixed-term employee of Drifter for a three-month period, with payment of a wage in line with the role which may be made up of accommodation and living expenses. They will be expected to follow all company policies and procedures, including workplace performance and conduct expectations, and compliance with health and safety legislation. 
  1. Employment is subject to completing any necessary onboarding processes, including but not limited to signing an employment agreement and meeting tax and superannuation requirements. 
  1. The winner understands that all remuneration and allowances provided as part of the competition will be subject to applicable Australian taxation laws. 
  1. The winner will be required to work a standard rostered schedule, which may include weekends, evenings, and gazetted public holidays in line with business needs. 
  1. The winner may be required to work across multiple Drifter properties in Australia and must be willing to travel as required for the role.  
  1. The winner will be covered under Drifter’s workers’ compensation insurance for work-related injuries during employment but is responsible for their own health and travel insurance for non-work-related incidents. 
  1. Drifter is not responsible for obtaining or covering costs related to visa applications, insurance, or any legal requirements for working in Australia. If the winner is unable to secure a valid visa or work rights before the employment start date, Drifter reserves the right to select an alternative winner. 
  1. Failure to comply with employment conditions, including but not limited to maintaining valid work rights, adhering to company policies, or meeting conduct expectations, may result in termination of employment and forfeiture of the remaining prize benefits.  
  1. If the winner chooses to resign or is terminated for misconduct before the completion of the six-month contract, Drifter reserves the right to withdraw any remaining benefits, including accommodation and allowances. Flight costs and other expenses incurred may also be subject to reimbursement at Drifter’s discretion.
