Kuranda Scenic Railway. The Reason to Arrive by Train

The Kuranda Scenic Railway departs from Platform 2 and climbs 328 metres through World Heritage-listed rainforest to the mountain village of Kuranda. Cairns Airport is 7km from the CBD. A taxi takes about 12 minutes. There is no direct public transport to Little Drifter, but Sun Palm Transport runs airport shuttles to the CBD.
